Studio Portraits- white backdrop

For the longest time I was focused on portraits with black backdrops. I love how the black contrasts with the face to make it the central focus of the image. I still like to use it with natural light.

Now that I have the studio and strobe lights I find myself focused on white backdrops. I especially love it's brightness for children's portraits. Whether they are wearing white or bright colors children shine on the white backdrop! It is a very popular timeless style of portrait photography. I try to put a little modern twist on it with fun interactive shots but many clients end up purchasing the traditional poses for their wall portraits. It's all a matter of taste! Here are some of my samples!

What a fun family this was! The boys had a great time playing outside and "posing" for the camera. I like to get candids but they were so good at posing I ended up wiht a lot of great posed shots as well! Dad is running for the Fairfield BOE! He is an awesome guy! I have confidence he will get the position! Go P.L!

What an awesome session!! This has to be one of my favorite types of photo shoots! I had great models, beautiful weather and a cool back drop! Check out these "high school senior portraits"! I don't know about you but these aren't like my senior portraits!!! The urban scene is the latest trend in portrait photography! I love it!

Congratulations Big Brother J! Welcome Baby T!! What cute little guys! They look so much alike! I saw a lot of mom in them (and grandma too) but I didn't get to meet daddy. We were trying to shoot all natural light but it was a dark rainy day. We did it but not with as much light as I would have preferred! Sometimes mother nature does not cooperate! At least we weren't at a park. We had their lovely home as a backdrop instead.

New Blog! Portrait Photographer - Wilton, CT

Welcome to my new blog! It's an upgraded version of the old one so I am very excited. I really enjoying posting images from my portrait sessions online and this is the best way to do it! I only wish I had more time to blog about my sessions. Many of them don't even make it to my blog. I haven't had any time in the past few weeks so I am way behind! I will try to get some of the images from my most recent sessions up asap! Thanks for checking it out! Come back soon for more posts!

I am so excited to be back outside! I love creating natural light portraits! The children are comfortable and happy outside. I feel like I get my best pictures at parks and in children's own backyards! This session was in the client's yard. The daughter was so excited to show me her swing set and play in the yard with her baby brother. They were both so happy and it was a cloudy day so the lighting was wonderful! We got some beautiful portraits! Mom and Dad were very happy and so was I!
